Nutritional Intake Differences of Children Aged 6-23 Months in Coastal and Non-Coastal Stunting Areas

Stunting is still a health concern in developing countries. The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences nutritional intake children Coastal (Co) and Non-Coastal (NCo) Areas Tanah-Laut. quantitative cross-sectional design carried out on subjects aged 6-23 months with total 65 Co 66 NCo toddlers who were physically healthy breastfeeding. instruments included questionnaire, 24-hour recall form, stature meter, digital scale. univariate analyses describe frequency median data. Mann-Whitney test used see macro micro nutrients both regions. prevalence stunting 21.2%, while 18.4%. About 7.6% 26.2% malnourished. wasting 13.6% 15.4%. There significant difference Energy, Carbohydrates, fat (p<0.05). no protein between two Both micronutrients classified as deficient. vitamin-A, vitamin-D, vitamin-K, calcium, iron intake. Either macronutrient sufficient, but neither for micronutrients. groups
